1. A "yella yitie" is an emberiza citrinella
A) Can be true or false. Depends upon the quantity & quality of the single malt I've had.
2. Rob Roy was a student at Aberdeen University where his uncle was Professor of Mathematics. Here he is about to jump the Culter Burn on his way to classes.

3. The characteristic finger positions in modern Highland dance are a relic of the snapping of fingers in time to the music.
A) Decline to state. What is a perfectly acceptable gesture in one country, could get one last rites in another.
4. Vegetarian haggis is actually vegan.
A) True or False. Depends upon the preparer. I've known people claiming to be vegans, that ate fish.
5. Prince Charlie hid in this cave about 10 miles from where I'm sitting.

My stab is that they are all false or unprovable. Local legends or perhaps tourist board myths.
No google for me as that seems like cheating.
On the other hand the Scots who've posted so far don't agree with me so I may be in trouble.
