Welcome Hermann. I think we have all had some resistance from spouse, family or employer, but the thing is to keep breaking down those barriers. I think you'll find a lot of support for that here. Glad to have you as part of the forum.

Welcome,
I live in a small town of 7,000 in the canyonlands of the American West. Folks here are redneck as they come. I'm the only kilted one in town but already I hear, "Where's your kilt?" if I happen to be wearing pants.
Enjoy it.

Hermann, you're not alone in Germany with your kilt. I shipped three over there, and all three thought they were the ONLY guys in Germany with kilts.
When I was in Euerdorf, I wore my kilt everyday, and got nothing but great reactions! Of course that was during Octoberfest, so they probably thought I was just a blurry, masculine looking woman... but hey!
Welcome to the board!

Welcome Hermann.
If you get as much enjoyment as I do, as many laughs as I do, and as strong a sense of fraternal comradeship as I do, when visiting here, you will know that you too have "struck Gold!"

Welcome Hermann
As Jamie mentioned, we don't all get support at home for wearing a kilt. It was a point of discussion yesterday at my house.
But there are a bunch of great guys for support here.
