Upper body at the gym yesterday. Traps to start then moved over the elliptical to really warm up and get the blood flowing. A more intense ab session than I normally do. From there I went to the bench and did about 4 sets of 5 with 135, my warm up weight, and stopped due to some discomfort in my left shoulder; nothing serious but I'm going to watch this for a week or so.
The gym was crowded so my next move was dictated by availability - 4 sets of 10 at seated bench row with an increase in weight; pull ups 4 sets of 5. Then pec deck, which doesn't cause any shoulder discomfort, forward and back with a move up in weight also.
More elliptical to cool off and home.

I'm two fridays in a row with no gym time, and there won't be any this coming Friday, either. It's starting to bug me!

When real life interferes with training time it's acceptable once in awhile. When it becomes a regular thing it's just annoying.

I tested my epiphany about how I could use blades at Shaffer Park this evening.
It works.
Best hammer practice in very long time.

Except for the one hammer session, last week was a lost week due to being sick. Felt fairly rotten all week long but was hit by a ton of bricks on Thursday and Friday. Rallied over the weekend and was able to get some moderate lifting in on Sunday and Monday. I found myself thinking that deciding not to go to Costa Mesa was the right choice as it turned out; I wouldn't have been able to make it down there, much less throw.
I will be happy to get back to throwing this week.

Okay, I'm back after two miserable weeks. Knocked out by some sort of bug that left me with a headache and devoid of energy for the past two weeks. Felt the mojo return by Saturday and got in some restorative lifting, followed by a Braemar and hammer session on Sunday afternoon.
Not great, not bad, but it was actual throwing. This afternoon I aim to do some wfd as a tune up for Modesto this Saturday.
It's good to be back in action.

Sure did miss you, Marty. So sorry to hear you were bitten by a bug.
Delighted to see you back on the boards and getting back into the swing of things.
Welcome back.

Thanks, Stitchwiz, it's good to be back.
Last night real life happened so I got to the gym late for some loosening stuff instead of throwing. Thus, tonight I'll go to do a last throwing session before Modesto. Mainly I want to wfd to lock in form for Saturday.
I'm really looking forward to the game.

Wfd last night at Shaffer. Not a long session but I'm satisfied with the positions and form for both heavy and light weights. With all the disrupted practice time over the last few weeks, I'm going into Modesto relying on being well rested, extensive visualization "practices", and muscle memory. We will see how it goes.
