FDR @ Poughkeepsie, NY January 1887

The first photo and three links (posted as photos below), appeared in this thread.

    My cousin* Franklin D. Roosevelt:

...can anyone tell what it is? Clan? Something else?

The following appeared as links in the afore mentioned thread:

This one I believe appeared in this thread before:

*Through my Verplanck /Vigne (New Amsterdam) linage, Franklin D. Roosevelt is a distant cousin of mine. My ancestor, Maria (Vigne) married Jan Roos about 1631. Jan died about 1632. They had one son, Gerrit Jansen Roos (Franklin D. Roosevelt descended from this son). Gerrit's great-great-great granddaughter, Cornelia Hoffman, married Isaac Roosevelt in 1752 (FDR was their great-great grandson).

In 1634 Maria (Vigne) Roos married Abraham Ver Planck (they were my 10th great-grandmother /grandfather).

This is a picture of my grandmother's brother. He was in the United States Army during WWII. He was in an engineering battalion and his job was replacing broken out glass in London. This photo was taken at some sort of photo booth when he was on leave.

    Unknown Piper, Gordon Highlanders (WW1)

Though the sporran badge is not regimental and looks to be the generic army badge of a crown surmounted by a lion, (perhaps a Victorian era badge), this photo has been identified by WW1 uniform/photo experts/collectors as an unknown piper of the Gordon Highlanders (sporran, glengarry badge, double tab on the hose garters and what seems a yellow looking over stripe on the government background tartan).

    The photograph is marked Dunfermline.

If I receive any updated info on this photo I will update/correct the above info.
