Hi gang...........just some two cents worth:
How about a twist on the Isle of Man emblem Maple leaf in the middle of three kilt socks or three legs with kilt socks on
also the best emblems follow the rules of hearldry
ie: no colour on colour and no metal on metal
what that means is yellow and white are metals everything else is a colour
red on yellow or white looks good but red on a black background looks muddy at a distance and loses its impact think about how similar blue and green are especially on kilts.........hope this helps............aelfric

I did this logo at work and do not really have the time to recreate the Isle of man emblem with some changes

It's not really an emblem more of a logo, having said that I will say that as a graphic artist with close to 20 yrs in the advertising buisiness I am well aware of colour theory, however what we are talking about here is a t-shirt design, not a heraldic crest, and I think for what it is it will work wonderfully.
Of course if anyone else wants a go at it by all means try out your ideas and let us see them, just remember you will never make everyone happy.

How about Thursday April 26th, or Friday the 27th at the Queens Arms in Oakville, looking at the map Oakville is sort of near the middle of everything. If the dates are to soon we could do it for the first or second week in May. What do you think?

I'll take a black Large Tshirt, with that lovely maple-leaf SOKS logo in Canadian Maple Leaf tartan (of which I will, by next November, have in an eight-yard kilt). I'm available for both the 26th and 27th. Would someone in the Hamilton area, please check out http://www.slainteirishpub.ca/index2.html on some Thursday or Friday night, to see if it would be suitable?
After doing some online reading, I don't know if we could talk and be heard if we were at the Slainte on a Thursday night. http://www.thekevinmacleanband.com/other.php?t=bio Friday, may be a better night if there.
I'm just trying to keep my drive under an hour, especially if we're car pooling from the St. Catharines/Niagara area.

I may be available on the Friday...
Boy, you miss one day, you miss a lot! I love the shirt idea!!! Count me in!
I plan on spending more time here once the internet speed issue is resolved. Right now it takes three minutes or more to fill in one page on this site. Very frustrating!

Wish I could join you Gents, but I will just be leaving Hamish's abode and going to Holland. No doubt you will have a grand time.
Cheers
