I've completed a grey camo with a belt of the same fabric, and am finishing up a light blue denim (because Union Kilts is sold out of my size and isn't making them anymore). The denim will have a welt back pocket, and I've made a matching sporran based on Wolfgore's instructions.

Making it official. . . 2 completed here, the camo and the Reverse-K Mk I. Materials in hand for at least 2 more as Christmas presents for family/friends but I'll post those for the official count when done.
Many, many thanks! I had tried a casual denim kilt prior to finding X-Marks and your instructions, but it is relegated to around-the-house wear now that I know what I did wrong
See you in Ventura!

I meant to mention that my denim is a reverse-K as well. Next up: A double-box X-kilt from some polyviscose tartan.

Put me down for one and a half.
I've made a stock XKilt out of black polycotton, and have a khaki in the works. Thanks again, Alan, for the concise directions!

two more for the "official" count
I imagine mine were included in your count yesterday, but I have made the two "weathered saffron" XKs for me and Scooby. I have started cutting a blue denim for Scooby that he wants by the next NorCal Kilt Night. I have fabric for a black chevron cloth one for me depending on how busy work gets and how long it takes to make the blue one.

Looks great. Keep making them and posting the pics.
Alan,
Again thanks to you for writing this instructional. I has helped me a great deal in learning basic kilt construction and made making my first tartan kilt (with Barb's book in hand) MUCH easier.

It was concise. Not terse.
After following the directions, I wasn't able to find anything in them that didn't need to be there. To me, that's the definition of concise.
Thanks again!

I've done two. Olive drab green and Khaki. One with a wide apron and the other smaller. One with pockets, one without. While at the Highland games in Fresno over the weekend, I recommended your instructions to a young lady who wanted to make one similiar to the Khaki kilt I was wearing. Thanks again. Look forward to making more.
Avoid 100% Cotton Twill, it wrinkles to much. I'm looking for a dark green poly/cotton next.
Regards,
Mark
