The cost of buying from Scotland: new Argyle outfit arrives

I purchased an off the peg 8-yard Tara Anchient Kilt from the Scotweb Kilt Store. The quality was very good. Shipping by The Kilt Store was through Fed-Ex. and despite the $500.00 total there were no added fees or duties. Lucky? Maybe, but I will use them again.

I did end up receiving my MacDuff Dress Tartan Kilt and Argyle outfit on 5-14-08. I got the bill from Fedex about 2 weeks later. Due to the Fish and Wildlife issue, it came to a grand total of $264 for duties, tariff and Fedex fee. I know that it is the law and I am responsible, I just wish I had known ahead of time. All of the items I received were absolutely gorgeous! My advice, be prepared for the extra fees.
