My apologies to Princess Anne - but Thanksgiving got me thinking about that old phrase "What's good for the goose is good for the gander."

Depending entirely on where HM's belt is, I suppose...
Some take the high road and some take the low road. Who's in the gutter? MacLowlife

Speaking of hacking and , ahem, leaving the topic of HRH's as-you-weres, I am pleased to recommend BOOKSTER UK, aka www.tweed-jacket.com for lovely tweed hacking jackets. I have no affiliation with them, other than as a satisfied customer and fellow worrier about assaults on Princess Anne's dignity...

Princess Anne is not the Queen. That'd be her sister.

Wouldn't that be her mother?

Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, is HM's sister. Her daughter is Anne (Phillips), Princess Royal. The latter is the one who presented Alan Cumming with his OBE.

Plus Princess Margaret passed into eternity in 2002, so she obviously couldn't be present to give an award.

The second link to the Lomond jacket indeed looks like a hacking jacket tailored to wear with the kilt. But that's not what Cumming is wearing. The only difference between his jacket and the ones we offer under the name "Wallace jacket" (besides the fact that his jacket is tartan, which we can do, as I said) are the pocket flaps. Other than that, they are the same.

I like the outfit although it's certainly not for every man. I think the boots are great and contribute to it looking like clothing vs. costume.
Proudly Duncan [maternal], MacDonald and MacDaniel [paternal].
