Kyle posted a link to the Brooks Brothers site, where you can see pix of the formal pumps. Pedantically I must point out that they're not brogues by definition, since they lack the decorated toe-cap. But they are gorgeous! I would covet a pair, save that with my skinny heels, I'd probably have to use Velcro (or staples) to keep them on.
Here: they are even on sale today, if anyone's looking.
Probably Kyle did not hot-link the photo because its location could change any day, and of course we don't want to infringe the intellectual property rights of BB's photo. Hoping to see them "on the hoof" one day soon!

David,
I ordered the buckles from L&M Highland Outfitters out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. They came embossed in silver in either the thistle or celtic motifs (shamrock as well, but who wants that-lol!). I went with the thistle motif since the cantle and cones of m sporran molach is made of the same embossed silver. I am not sure if L&M still produces the buckles, but a quick e-mail to them direct should answer that question. I easily took of the original buckles, and the new ones were fairly easy to adhere to the brogues. They look very sharp and match my sporran embossements quite nicely-though I completely understand that matching isn't at all necessary! I welcome that idea in other evening and day dress ensembles of mine!
Cheers mate,

I called the pumps "brogues" because the term "brogue" is Gaelic for shoes. I understand that the formal pumps do not have the small holes and patterns that many traditional brogues have for acceptable daywear. And you are indeed correct about me not providing the hot link for the photo-figured the webpage link would suffice.

Take any personal issues up through the personal message function.
Only one person on this entire thread has asked the OP the provenance of his feather.
I cannot see that a single person has actually contacted the OP to find out whether or not he has, since being warned of the law, checked if he can have a cultural exemption or applied for such.
I took it upon myself to read the entirety of 'The Eagle Feather Law' and to contact a friend who specialises in conservation law.
Since the OP can prove the provenance of the feather to be one legally obtained in Scotland and given as a gift he would be exempt from any prosecution.
Should any member on here be sufficiently worried then they have every right to privately contact the police and take it up with them, but daring each other on the open forum while not taking action yourself is not the sensible, adult or legal way to go about it.
If this thread continues on this subject it will be closed.
Cheers mate, thank you for your support. I tire of the subject (eagle feather) so easily. I suppose I should have kept the fact that I am armigerous to myself. Thank you again!
Kind regards,

Please read my earlier posts with regards to the matter of interest on the first page of this thread. The posts were posted some time ago.

Actually, this discussion was based upon statements and challenges issued by the OP.
I again will state emphatically that the OP invited arrest for his admitted commission of a felony. I might humbly suggest that such statements should not be encouraged or allowed by the forum
Ugh, it would be too exhausting to write an in-depth response to this post, and honestly, a waste of time. All I will say is that I was being extremely sarcastic when I made that statement, hence the "HA!" at the end of the sentence that is being criticised. I was not attempting to be pretentious, ostentatious, ignorant, disobedient of the law, criminal, or immature. I was merely being a wee bit sarcastic. I am well aware of the law in terms of owning or exhibiting genuine eagle feathers-in my case, a single Golden Eagle feather, which may be worn for particular occassions in order to denote that I am armigerous (I really only wear it for Clan Macpherson gatherings, rallies, official meetings, or events, where other Macpherson armigers, the Chief, and Chieftains of senior cadet branches of the clan are present-which all wear their feathers as well). You can read more of the origin of my feather on the first page of this thread.
You are more than welcome to PM me, and we can discuss the matter further, if you so desire. Please allow me to assure you Sir, I am in the right, have done my homework-even long before matriculating my personal arms (based upon the arms of my Chief, Sir William Alan Macpherson of Cluny and Blairgowrie, TD, Baron of Blair, and my ancestor who had previously recorded arms with the Lyon Court) from the Lord Lyon, and am very conscious of the law with regards to authentic eagle feathers. I assure you, I am not in the wrong, or breaking any law. Again, if you wish to discuss details and specifics to what I have stated in this post, then please PM me. Enough of this senseless and pointless banter that has drastically steered this thread off topic. I would like to apologize on behalf of you, to the XMTS forum moderators and members for causing such a row. Let's move on.

I wasn't bragging. Many would agree, it is often difficult and quite challenging to precisely understand a person's tone or manner of speaking through their written words. If you have nothing to contribute to the main aspect/idea/topic of this thread, then perhaps you shouldn't say anything at all.
I am quite sure that you are extremely busy with running and maintaining your lovely B&B (and it is indeed lovely-I perused your website) there in Taos, NM. Wasting your time with senseless and pointless banter, that steers the entire thread off topic, is ridiculous in my opinion. Cease the unsubstantial attacks and lets get back on topic, please!
Yours aye,

Kyle,
I like the look that you are presenting with the brogues.
I also congratulate you on completing the work to matriculate Arms. It is quite time consuming and can be quite dear. When reading the first post is the first I had learned of the accomplishment.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, it was extremely time consuming, yet well worth the continuous, and often at times, arduous, process of researching the genealogy of my family. I was quite blessed and fortunate to have assistance from living members of my family, specifically my grandfather and granduncle, throughout the entire tenure of my research. As I am sure you are well aware, the research and unique discoveries of one's ancestors never really concludes, rather it continues on in many different facets.
I have enjoyed the research and my hard work and determination culminated with the matriculation of arms of a Macpherson ancestor, eventually leading to the granting of my own personal arms, officially registered in the public registries of the Court of the Lord Lyon King of Arms in Edinburgh. However, with that being said, my methodical, and sometimes fanatical, research and wonderful discoveries of my family's Highland heritage continues, and I pray that I never lose the enthusiasm and passion of connecting with my Scottish ancestors.
Thank you for your service to our country.
Buaidh no Bas,
