I'd love it but it'd be 6-12 months before I could order some.

To be fair I had been working off the $20 USD just because most of the posters are from there, £20 works easier for me

Thanks! Never knew how to get it. I usually either just use an L up front or GBP behind.

Agreed.
I don't know if people have been saying $20 because they thought that's what the price was, or if they really meant £20 but just couldn't find how to put in the ££££ symbol into their text.
In any event, it MAY open the door to confusion and possibly disappointment if we're not careful about defining our terms. Thanks for the reminder.
For the record, those of us who are not in the UK may input the £ sign thusly:
PC: Hold down the ALT key and type: 0163 using the numeric keypad. £ (Some computers may be ALT+156)
Mac: Hold down the OPTION key and press the "3" key.
Linux: You should already know how to do this, you hacker, you. heh
Combine that with how many currencies use the $ symbol, and you get even more confusion. Many of them are even called the "dollar", and can have vastly different numbers for the same value. Below is a comparison of different currencies that use the $ symbol. (note that I was initially in he group thinking around 20USD)
20.00 USD
19.72 AUD
19.73 CAD
155.74 HKD
239.63 MXN
25.99 NZD
25.50 SGD
Imagine my surprise the first time I ordered something off eBay for about 10USD, and saw about $50 in postage on it when it arrived from HK.

I'm interested in enough for a box pleat for a GOS - either 2.5 yds DW or 5yds SW.
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary; for those who don't, none is possible.

Going dangerously off topic here but a former coworker who was a history major used to complain every time someone wrote out the $ symbol with only one vertical line. Although we have forgotten the roots, he showed me how it really is supposed to have two parallel vertical lines because it was originally a U superimposed on an S because it was the mark of United States currency. Over the years we have lost the bottom of the U and eventually one of the two vertical lines (at least from common usage). I can't help but think that there would be far less confusion if we had kept the original symbol.

Count me in for 6 yards of double width! And if need be, I can do more.
Must have!

Update - I still haven't heard back from Dalgliesh, but here's a roll-call of what people are interested in (price dependent, obviously). Worst case I'll call them by the week's end.
Updated running total:
In 16oz double width (so it's actually x2 this amount in total yardage):
Me - 2.5
Dale Seago - 9
Drac - 5
Kiltboy - 5
Zardoz - 4
CDNSushi - 2
EldarKinSlayer - 4
Mark.Priest - 1.5
Downix - 1
g koch - 2
Sydnie7 - 4
Jason10mm - 5+
lethearen - 3
Hocfutue - 1.5
Llwyd - 2+
Poospot18 - 3
Danwell - 2.5
techdragon - 6
Jordan - 4
kc8ufv - 4
Which brings us to 71 yards - double width (price dependent)
Folks, we're most likely going to have customs duty to pay at this point - just a 'heads up'.
Just to ball park this: Assuming that we're talking about ~$30 US per yard we're OVER $2000US! I find it hard to believe that we WOULDN'T end up getting dinged on that.
Does anyone have an idea of what the % is for duty on something like this?

Reason: corrected #s for missing 'want', again.
