Sounds like someone has been watching the lord of the rings movies
Let YOUR utterance be always with graciousness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how you ought to give an answer to each one.

Since I am a twin, I have been using the plural for years, especially when we celebrate our birthday. (It's not quite a state occasion but we enjoy ourselves.) And for our birthday this year I ordered my first kilt. (How's that for a segue way back on topic.) I wear it for many of the reason's already stated: family heritage, fun...

So - how does your twin feel about you're having gotten a kilt?

Since I have been playing in a pipe and drum band he's OK with me wearing a kilt, but I don't expect to ever see him in one. The one I ordered is my first personal kilt and is in the family tartan - Dundas. He and my sisters think it's great that I'm wearing the family tartan, but we haven't actually gotten together and gone out in public yet - I've only had it for about a month and they don't live close by.

Short/smart alec answer- Because I can.
Wearing a kilt is, to me, an expression of the freedom I feel as an American and as a veteran. Freedom to be an individual.
Wearing a kilt gives me a confidence & swagger.
It helps give my children an example of moral courage.
It makes me look dead sexy! LOL!

1. Because tossing a caber whilst wearing cargo shorts just looks stupid.
2. Because I can.
3. Because I want to.
4. Because my wife likes it.
