Can't believe I spaced it out while getting dressed this morning. Was backing out the driveway when I remembered so I ran back in and got a MacMillan tie. Really messed with the other people at work because I never, ever, ever wear a tie to work . It was much more shocking to them than had I worn a kilt .
Rob.

Keep em guessing Rob, wear the kilt tomorrow - in violation of the ban. A little, "In your ear turkey" day.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.

Black watch sport coat count? I'm guessing I could claim it as one of the few tartans available for wear during the act of proscription

One of my newer residents, a Crawford who has seen me kilted before, inquired about if there was a special reason for the kilt, today. So, he got a little history lesson. He wrote down in his calendar my earlier invitation to attend our William Wallace Day event coming up later in the month.
After work, while shopping in a neighborhood grocery store, a perky gal came up to me and said with a huge grin , "Something not usually seen in a Food Lion".

I wore my Stewart Old Sett today with matching tie, white shirt, gray vest, lovat blue jacket and hose. Pics will be posted on Friday when I get them back from the developers. Had a few compliments and 2 strangers asking for a picture.
This was the first day in the last 3 days that I wore the kilt. Each time I wear it I come home thinking, why does any man want to wear pa*ts.

ALL the single Highland malt distilleries I've visited let vsitors have a generous sip of at least one of their products (if they have more than one, typically the top-of-the-line), usually accompanied by a side remark about why we shouldn't bother with that "bleneded" stuff. Thus began my relationship with Talisker.
To this day it has always amazed me that, up to a certain point in the creation of the single highland malt scotch whisky, there process is no different from making beer. Leads me to conclude that beer-drinkers are just impatient whisky-drinkers.

In a queue at the bank today I was asked quite pointedly whether I was wearing underwear. When I declined to reply, my questioner said he had served in the Transvaal Scottish (they wear Murray of Atholl) and had regularly been checked to ensure the absence of underwear.
Oddly, he was under the impression that his kilt (like my army kilt, it was on loan from the regiment) was black with a red stripe. When I pointed out that it was Black Watch with a red stripe, and that the blue and green in Black Watch were quite dark, he conceded that he had not looked properly.

I too will wait till the product is done. I prefer sipping the product rather than swilling the gluten laden pot belly growing beer/wort.
Maybe this guy should have been along to replace the pipes....

OK, as promised earlier in this thread here are my pics from the first of the month.

Don't know why a photographer angled the one pic but here it is as best I could do to straighten it out. First trip out for my new walking stick and, of course, I almost left it behind when I left the bar.
