Threave Castle. Check the map (and link) on the lower right hand side of the page. The link will take you to a page where you can look up the coordinates on a variety of online mapping services.

Not true, not true - I filled him up with all kinds of info before he left!!!!!!
But I don't know what his plans were and are and what his itinery is. He has sent three post-cards so far, and one e-mail, but I really don't have a clue where he is going to go, or has been.
I do know that he said he got three little bottles of single malt that are not for import, but that's really all so far.
The first post card was from Edinburgh, the second from Kilbryde Castle, and the third was from this Castle...... I'm sure he has better things to do than keep me abreast of his journey. He is traveling with his wife and daughter, and that alone might keep him busy.

"Archibald the Grim" Now that's a lovely name to carry through life..
Hmm! maybe I'll start being "Stan the Cheerful" , "Stan the Abominable", (Hey this could be fun!)
Of course if I had to live in a draughty old castle on a windswept island, I guess I'd be pretty grim soon enough.
Great pics though. Most impressive!

Great pics and a super job of presentation, as usual. You make it difficult to resist the temptation to borrow the funds to visit those lands. Maybe some day, but until then, you make it a wonderful journey of the mind.
