I would like to point out one thing related to spelling and typing errors:
Not all members of this forum are native English speaker (like me for instance).
So, please don't be so hard and check member's location first, prior spilling boiled oil on him/her.
THX!

Another suggestion: check the date of the thread -- this one was started back in 2006!

I'm with Scot on this one; Where I used to work was a large sign by the City; "Definately no smoking". It drove me crazy! I went to Catholic School, spelling was strict, plus we had Elocution to 'civilise' our unintelligible Street Kid Aussie accent.
Scot has "height(h)" problems? Mine is "Chimbley" (Chimney), and "Sammich" (Sandwich). I don't know why they set my teeth on edge, but they do. Nothing else, mind, just these.
(But, of course it's the voices- you can't hear them, cos they're inside my head..... ) One day, heh! heh!; One day real soon.

Don't worry. I'm sure that this is supposed to be a fun thread, and no one's taking it seriously.

Argh! This thread is both entertaining and painful at the same time!
My particular peeves are:
'real' instead of 'really'
'supposably' instead of 'supposedly'
'phase' instead of 'faze'
Mispronunciation is also funny. My wife and I went to a restaurant the other day and the waitress asked if we would like some "anti-jee-toes" for an appetizer. I almost choked on my drink! I had to be restrained from replying, "Sounds great! Make sure you put lots of jall-a-pen-oes on them!"

And the problem is?
Far as I know, unless a thread is deleted, any thread is capable of being resurrected by a new member that was not around in 2006, yet wants to contribute to the topic.
And I'd agree, there are several non english speaking members of this forum that may or may not be up to snuff with all the intricacies of english homonyms.
