I just backpacked in hot weather in the Sierra Nevada for 6 days. On 3 days I wore cotton briefs and on three days I went regimental.
The verdict? Wear the briefs. It's less sweaty..beat me,why..tho.
I wear my kilts to work 2-3 days a week. I work in IT and sometimes have to crawl under co-workers desks. I am NOT doing that regimental...I have a standard of professional behavior to uphold. Thus, I wear color -coordinated boxer-briefs to work..picking a color that goes more-or-less with my kilt.
When throwing at the Games I wear a pair spandex tight shorts, and it's usually *really* hot, but people ARE goingto see what's underneath.
Finally "around town" and certainly to our Nor Cal Beer and Kilts Night (usually, but not if I"ve just whipped over there straight from work)....I let the lasses draw their own conclusions.
