Actually, it has to do with Rex. Baysideboy knows I grew up in the Garden State, which offers a varied geography (including an actual ocean shore), a rich history, proximity to both New York City and Bucks County, PA, and apparently a more attractive flag (debatable). As far as I know, however, it does not offer either an ugly or a beautiful tartan.
Regards,
Rex.

I used to spend summers in my youth (60's West Virginia) at my aunt's house and I swear she had curtains and a bed spread in that very fabric.
Seeing a tartan like that really makes you appreciate the beautiful ones we see so much more often.

That's the worst MacDishrag tartan I've ever seen…

Guess it's good that it's not the "Official" tartan... Kind of depressing when the colors of the official symbols that you would have to wear clash with each other... Or even the colors that look good on you.
* I should add that I understand tastes differ and there is not always a choice... Just thinking of some symbols with colors that would apply to me that I don't really like the looks of and so on, then being encouraged if not expected to wear those symbols and colors in a big way.

Yikes!
My eyes are bleeding. Make it stop.

I should design my own tartan with texture/color coordination... Not sure how that would be done.
