Jeremy, you are half right, the older boy/girl organization is the Venture's, where some do in fact have Kilts as their uniform. I even as the one who started this post, never condoned the wearing the Kilt with the Official Boy Scout uniform, but simply wanted to let others know what some of the boys are wearing with their Troop T-shirts. Yes, things among adults sometimes get really silly here in the scouts, but our hearts are all in the same place.
I want my children to learn what they can in scouts and apply it in their adult lives. Both my son's are very close to Eagle, but I firmly believe they don't really know what they are gaining by hanging on and finishing the program.
Please don't use this thread to bash scouting, what else do we have to give our son's direction in life? We have our faults, but the end Does justify the Mean.

Actually, on a more serious note, all this bickering is really starting to get old.

Guys, as a note, the mods are currently reviewing this thread. We did try and warn you and our warning have been ignored.
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

As Splash has said we have been watching, and discussing this one, as our warnings have not been heeded, it is our decision to close this thread. As noted above personal attacks are the primary reason for closing the thread. Lets all remember the rule concerning courtesy:
Be Courteous to all Members
Please try to be courteous to all members. Please treat others as you would like to be treated (unless you are a masochist, then treat all others as you would treat your Mother).
