Progress Report
Just a quick update on progress. I met up with Robin last week who confirmed that the yarns are currently being dyed. As soon as he has them the warp will be wound on put onto the loom. More news as and when I have it.

figheadair, any updates on the status of things? Hate to be a pest, but hey, I'm excited to see this thing through.

I think the dyeing of the shades should be complete now and it should be ready to go to the loom. Won't be too much longer. Will report back asap.

I've been away from the forum for a while, but have an interest in this. I work in the museum where the original coat is displayed and would love to see a pic of the finished result.
It might even be interesting to make some kind of display link with the original and the new.

I am going to recreate the original coat as closely as possible. Are any photos available of the back and interior of the coat?

You might want to contact figheadair via PM. He would do your best shot at it.
