Yes, I have that problem too. Very occasionally it is solved by me asking her to allow me to take a picture of us together and more rarely by me asking her to take one of me, but she has to be in the right mood, with the right (fortunately fairly minimal) make-up and her hair recently done (not one grey or white hair showing) and in suitable clothes. Meet all those requirements and I might get a couple of photos each year.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

    Happy Hogmanay!

What a great way to enjoy the first day of the year; kilted driving the back roads of Virginny!

There were three kilted gents at the annual LG New Year Day Levèe. Maple Leaf, MacDonald (Ranald), and Calgary. Sharp
looking they were. Unfortunately I had to be uniformed. Maybe next year..

    Utility...

Today I did some actual "utility" in my Utilikilt at my mother's-in-law ranch.
(Posted in this thread because I wore the same thing yesterday to drive here for Kilted Friday)

I helped clear some brush, de-mud a bulldozer, gather firewood and took a hike around the property.

It's now a peaceful evening out by the fire listening to the coyotes in the distance. I should sleep well tonight.

I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the new year.

    A Two-Kilt Day

Friday started out with luncheon with committee members from our local Highland games. I wentin my newest UTKilt Blackout Jumper and boots. Evening was Hogmanay with the local Saint Andrews society. That one was tartan. It was not a formal affair so I opted for the sporty look by wearing it with boots and "golf" shirt.

Saturday was a shopping day in a Black UT kilt with Boots. Sunday is proving to be a Brown UT kilt day as I get some work done at home after Church.

    Kilt Friday!

    Today is my Royal Stewart.

I have worked at home for several years, but I still wore a kilt every Friday if for no other reason than just to make sure they still fit.

These days, I am working in the office. There is quite a crew of new people since I last came here regularly. Week by week, they are getting used to it. Some even look forward to my Kilt Friday.

And I, meanwhile, was in my Black Stewart kilt, along with my new black Special Forces commando sweater (I've been wanting one of those for ages). Happy Weekend!

Yesterday, I wore my "Tartan Hiker" Bill Sanderson Scottish Wild Cat tartan Kingussie kilt. At work I had three encounters with residents of the community. Two of which were new to the community and yet to learn of my Kilted Fridays. It was a great opportunity for them to tell me about their Scottish ancestry.

That evening my sweetheart and I went to listen to a local Celtic duo performing at a local Irish restaurant. A number of comments and another chance for a lady to tell me about her Scottish ancestry.
