If I may be permitted to be so inconsiderate as to try to drag this thread back on topic---yesterday the BBC published a glorious photo of a river (in northern England, I think; I'm thoroughly ignorant of most place names in the UK) flowing toward a bridge around a bend to the right. What makes it glorious is that all the "greenery" on both sides is lightly coated with fresh snow, and in the bottom right are two white swans swimming toward the bridge. It's what a Christmas card without advertising should be.

I like it so much that I even minimize all my windows several times a day so I can delight in it.

    That is an awesome picture!!!

I have a picture (sans words) of my cat Annie on my desktop. She likes to get into the warm dryer and I just couldn't resist taking a picture of her!

(It also ended up being a perfect picture for an "LOL Cat" after someone in another forum I'm in was complaining about missing socks.)

My wife's sister lost a cat this way.
    No joke.
She always kept the dryer door open and had put some clothes in but left the room for a few minutes before returning to start the load. She caught it quickly but it was too late for the cat.

    OMG! How awful!

I never let Annie stay in the dryer for that exact reason! She gets her heat fix and then it's "skooch!".

I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's kitty!
