Neat looking device.

I read the stuff about Amazon's folly. Sounds as though they've learned a valuable lesson from it. I don't see it happening again.

BTW, Kindle 2 is 299 and has free Whispernet. I still prefer the Kindle models.

Sadly i do see it happening based on other blunders they have made.

Whispernet isn't a selling point for me because here my main computer is located there is no service so that isn't a plus. $249 is cheaper than $299 and the kindle 2 doesn't support PDF's Oh I do like the kindle but the DRM idiocy is keeping me from purchasing it. I have the same problem with Blu-Ray. I like the quality but DRM has resulted in a less than stellar end user experience. The extra cost really isn't worth it in most cases.
