"Rabble" is quite fine I think. If I had to pick something then "sett" sounds the most appealing. A pleat of xmarkers doesn't ring well to my ears. Either way, IMHO, when I hear "Rabble" I automatically think xmarks and anything else falls far short.

I too believe that a "Rabble of X Markers" works best.
By the by did you the proper name for a group of XMTS Moderators?
It is a Tyranny of Moderators

From my experience with members of the Nor-Cal Rabble of XMarksTheScot.com, not only does the word 'mischief' come to mind, but also:
'unruly'
'fractious'
'fun-loving'
'unpredictable'
'individualist'
'hospitable'
'off-kilter'
'passionate'
'loyal'
'curious'
'generous'
'intelligent'
and a whole host of other descriptors, indeed, a plethora of them.
Using the kilt - or the tartan - as the rallying standard, this local rabble was roused... to new heights of enthusiasm, activity and friendship.
I really do like the suggestion of a 'sett' (or, as applied to only one prominent member, a 'Preen' ).
Still, my usage will likely retain the descriptor 'Rabble' where two or more XMarkers are gathered.

Richard,
Actually a plural group of Panaches would be referred to as a Vanity of Panaches

In my poor brain, one Panache is Technicolor, more than one is KaleIdOscopic.
