    Guys, this is it!

Glen, from the heraldic standpoint this tie scores a bulls-eye. The narrow gold stripe incorporates the dandelion plant badge of X Marks The Scot, along with the two primary colours of the club tartan-- which comprise our "livery colours". It will look good with a blazer or suit, and will go with any tartan from Black Watch to "Loud" MacLeod. You've done a really good job with this-- Now let's see if we can get enough X Markers to sign up. And like I said, put me down for two.

    Glen,

I don't know what to call the third variant, but it is delightfully simple and representative. You have a hit on your hand. I would like to be counted in for 3 (1 for me and 1 for each of my kilt wearing sons). Silk, woven (possibly an option for the bow tie, if I ever lose enough weight to wear them again, great look, unless the midsection is too ample. IMHO)

    Cheers,

Well... I liked the MkII better, but I'm still a player if the the price is reasonable.

I like Glens Mark III variant and would happily buy one.

Getting this done will be some work. I'd suggest that it NOT devolve on someone who has already done a lot for X-Marks, like Steve Ashton or the mods. This is a perfect opportunity for someone who hasn't run a sitewide project to step up.
