The Hamish Bicknell Tartan
Hear ye, hear ye. (I've always wanted to say that).
A few months back, as Hamish approached his 100th kilt, I spoke with him and offered to design a "Centennial Tartan" for his 100th kilt. He graciously took me up on my offer and allowed me to design it for him. After a few discussions back and forth and a few different versions and tweeks, Hamish has approved a design. As he's a bit under the weather and has little energy these days, he asked me to post it up here for everyone to see.
PLEASE NOTE, I do this with his permission and while he's not actively posting daily, he assures me that he does still check in every other day. He's got his eye on us, so everyone "be good".
Without further ado, here's the picture (computer generated) of what the tartan will look like. He's very fond of muted and weathered colors, so I took that into account while designing:
To give you a better idea of what the colors will ACTUALLY look like, I have attached an image of the colors red, green and brown that will be used in the final cloth:
While this tartan will initially be woven for Hamish only, it may later be produced with his written permission, if so desired.

It's funny, but that tartan does say "Hamish" loud and clear! Well done, Rocky...!

It's lovely, Rocky, and a fine tartan for Hamish's 100th kilt. I hope he can wear it for another 50 years!

How wonderful and thoughtful!
For sure the collaberation designed a tartan that he likes - but its amazing that the tartan shouts "HAMISH!!" to anyone who knows him and evokes an "I like it!" from those who don't.
Very well done.
I hope you are both rightfully proud.

It's beautiful, Rocky. The colours remind me of Hamish's garden. Now all we need is a picture of Hamish wearing his tartan standing in his garden!
