    New Trews

So I'm in the Shower and my daughter comes in and says someones at the door. Grab towl, wrap, and run. Another package from the royal mail that usually only takes five days to Arizona. What could it be? Oh!!! new trews. I've got a pair of lighter Black Watch but these are QOH 18 oz Strome. These are great. Very nice to have and wear with other kilt outfit stuff when a kilt may not work out well. I think they are very dressy and the high waist works well with all of my kilt waist coats and jackets. It is over 100 degrees out today and they are surprisingly comfortable. Have a look. O'Neille

Here is one with a self tailored crail style jacket.

    Another view

And finally with a shortened brown leather waist coat.

    O'Neille,

Very snappy. I may be speaking out of turn here but I know for formal kilt outfits with waistcoats, a belt is not worn. I would think the same would apply to trews. I recommend a pair of braces and forgo the belt. You will get a better sense of the high rise that distinguishes the cut of the trews.

    Cheers

Very nice. I might just have to add a pair to my wish list.

I'd tend to agree, with a Prince Charlie I would never wear the belt. I've seen trews both ways either braces or belt. Quite often for day wear I've seen the belt. This however is my go everywhere, do everything vest/jacket combo. Trews have brace buttons already sewn so I'm ready to go that way too. This is an informal waist coat out of brown leather. I think the first time I saw this look was in Darby O'Gill and the little people with Sean Connery (one of my childhood favorites) I'll have to watch it and see if he was wearing a belt. How about that taking my style cues from Disney. O'Neille

Nice MacKenzie trews. I am sure Todd will have a great opinion of these.

You bet I do! Guid on ya for such brilliant trews!

The old Highland Light Infantry (HLI) wore Mackenzie of Seaforth trews, so you're in guid company!

I've got to get me a pair myself!

    Cheers,

    Todd

18 oz. wool trews were comfortable in Arizona during the summer? I am surprised. Are the trews lined?
