Site SSL Certificate
In this era of the "hostile" Internet, it is more important than ever to ensure that communication with web sites is secure. This is especially true given that far too many people use the same username and password on more than one site.
To ensure that XmarksTheScot isn't part of the problem, as a retired IT professional, I'd strongly recommend that you properly configure the site to work with your existing Cpanel-issued SSL/TLS certificate. This will remove the browser warnings "Connection is not secure" and show an increased level of professionalism, giving users more confidence when they register or enter their site credentials. In the US, over 90% of web sites are now using https vs http connections and users are becoming more aware of the risks of connecting to unsecured sites.
This may be as trivial as just updating the vBulletin configuration to use the correct https:// URL. Once the site is working properly via HTTPS, you would probably want to automatically redirect the unsecured connections to the new URL so that existing users have a seamless transition. Done correctly, most users won't even notice the change.
I'm sure Verve has tech support you can call on or you may have the expertise already within the Xmarks team. That said, I'd be happy to assist with the transition if called upon. This was sort of my wheelhouse before I retired. Feel free to shoot me a PM.
