Sunday March 4. West Philadelphia
Enter the Haggis is coming to the World Cafe (that's a link to World Cafe).
Doors open 7PM, Concert at 8PM, $18 advance.
We enjoy this Ontario band (they have a bagpiper, so perhaps that makes them Scottish?). They have quite a following at Celtic festivals.
Here is a link to the band itself.
I propose to meet at Gracie's Tavern for drinks and food at 6PM
(Here's their web site, check for directions. 2229 Gray's Ferry Ave. near 23rd and South St.)
Gracie's is run by Fergie, owner of the renowned Belgian Beer Pub 'Monk's Cafe', as well as several others pubs in Philly, as well as The Anderson in Fortrose on the Black Isle, Scotland. This is the only one of his pubs I've not visited, and all are outstanding; food is simple but excellent too.
You are on your own to buy Enter the Haggis tickets at the WorldCafe, but if you want to join us at Gracie's, please PM me so we can try for a reservation.
Kilts optional , but if you do kilt up, come very casual (no jacket?), as for a rock concert.
