    Post Robert Burns Supper ~~ Springfield, MO

    TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR ROBERT BURNS SUPPER, SATURDAY, JANUARY 14, 2006

    Tickets are now on sale for the Scottish St. Andrew’s Society of Springfield’s annual Robert Burns Supper! The Burns Supper will be held on Saturday, 14 January 2006 at the Sheraton Hawthorn Park Hotel, 2431 North Glenstone Springfield, Missouri 65803 (corner of Kearney & Glenstone) Cocktail/social hour will begin at 5.45 pm; dinner will begin at 6.45 pm. Tickets are $35 per person and include a choice of entrée. (Beef, chicken or vegetarian) Business/formal evening requested, but not required. A cash bar will be available for those wishing wine, beer or spirits with their meals. Haggis will be served.

    The Robert Burns Supperis an annual celebration in honour of Robert Burns, Scotland's national poet, and includes traditional Scottish food, music, dancing, bagpipes, kilts, and other forms of Scottish culture. Dr. William Piston will be our guest speaker, and Alex Sutherland & His Cronies will provide musical entertainment. There will also be traditional Scottish Country Dancing and piping by Society Piper Joel Wren.
