Thanks, I will pass this to my niece who recently moved to SLC.
BTW, something happened to their links -- remove all the extra spaces from URLs and they'll work fine.

Who is planning on attending, now knowing the prices?

Not sure about attending. The price and date are fine and I ought to have decent-ish attire by then. Dinner might be a little awkward however. It says that seating is limited and although non-vegan fare certainly doesn't bother me to be around I'm not sure what exactly I would do which others ate...
I've never attended a one of the balls so I'm not sure what to expect in the first place. Thoughts?

Honestly, neither have I. I am not really sure what to expect. You can go to the utah scottish association website and contact them about. They probably know what is on the menu by now.

Most affairs like this have decent salad options. It should be fine. You could always email the people in charge of the event to make sure though.

Re: Tartan Ball - date change
My husband and I are very seriously planning on going (as you know), but I have to figure out the exact cost of everything before I buy tickets...
Brice, do you know if this is something I have time to wait on, or should I be buying tickets asap? I guess I could contact the Association...

I just contacted them about it. The person from the association said they have not sold very many tickets yet. She said that I could probably wait until about 1 week before and still get them.
