    My first Kilt article.

I do a bit of amature writting, and recently (a few months ago) a friend of mine asked me to contribute some articles to a Christian blog he moderates.

This is one of my articles for The Sheep Below.
    http://thesheepbelow.blogspot.com/20...t-to-kilt.html

The idea of the blog is that Christian people of all walks of life (both clergy, lay teachers, and even some of us regular people) can submit articles on any aspect of Christian life that intrest them. My first series of articles was on physical security in churches. My next series is going to be on Christian warriors, both ancient and modern. The kilt article was a bit of a filler between series but I may write another kilt related article later.

I wonder if this is the first time Mr. Stewart was bested by a man in a skirt?

Well written and well presented. Good on you.

The critic appears as many "thundering" critics, claiming ultimate understanding of Scripture as (his) their own. Sad.

'Wonder if "out of respect" for his views, NO WOMAN in his family owns any jeans, trousers cargo pants or tee shirts?

More likely, in this opinion, when this particular storms up to them (and any other female so clad)...

...the more polite ladies so addressed, daintily tell the critic to go pound sand up....

Graham, you'd probably be interested in the current issue (April May) of Tactical World Magazine. They have an extensive article on the same subject. Slant is for law enforcement officers but also for padres and the congregation.

    Congrats on the blog article!

It occurs to me that I've never seen a depiction of JC wearing trousers. I thnk that's in an xmarks member's signature. It seems he and his ilk were fond of long flowing dress-like robes.

This Robert Stewart shows his ignorance loudly and clearly. If one wanted to hold to the letter of the commandment in Deuteronomy, a female piper or drummer in a kilt would be more in violation of this edict than a man in a kilt because, as you so ably pointed out, the kilt is a man's garment.

You certainly made the right arguments in support of wearing the kilt and, as a Cape Bretoner, I can tell you that I do know a few coal miners who wear kilts.
