Heraldic Stained Glass Window
The stained glass window above the altar at the Chapel of Lincoln’s Inn, London.
Photo by Mark Mullen, who shared it in the Facebook group “Churchcrawling - A Passion for Churches.”
He also notes that John Donne was preacher here, and his “Send not to ask for whom the bell tolls” refers to the practice of barristers sending their clerks around to find out who had died when funeral bells rang for deceased “benchers.”
Anyway, I thought the heraldically inclined would be fascinated by the coats of arms in the stained glass.
