My attempts at "The Hamish"
Here is my humble attempt at a Hamish MK II in the same location as the original.
And the original.
With each new Kilt in the Kollection Hamish has posed in his garden and posted pics for us.
Each new kilt included a pose on his sundial in what has come to be known as "The Pleat Shot".
When I visited Hamish I could not resist having a pleat shot taken on the sundial.
And again in my own idiom.

Excellent pics, and the authentic location

I'm so glad Hamish had the British Columbia flag in his collection!

I got a good chuckle out of the Hamish pose Steve. I hope that it isn't too long until we can again see Hamish in another striking pose in his new Tewsbury creation.

I think we are automatically at a distinct disadvantage to Hamish, as none of us have his lovely garden for a background or signature sundial upon which to site our pictures. But here goes my latest attempt:
Forrester Modern tank in Strathmore 13oz wool tartan, in my back yard this weekend.
Minus the lovely gardens, minus the wonderful sundial, minus the infectious Hamish smile, and with my hospital ID still hanging around my neck, this is me doing my most recent (probably not my best) "Hamish".
Hamish, we miss you dearly, and hope to see more of your face in the coming days and months. Be well and stay well my friend. None of us could ever live up to the legend. You are truly a "Legend of Your Own Kind" (to steal them modify a phrase).

Not to detract from the traditional "Sundial Hamish" -- but perhaps we should also name this pose. "Blue Yonder" comes to mind, or maybe "Into the Future" or "The Wiz."
It occurs to me that he's just "mugging."

Excellent work Steve. And although you aren't Hamish you deserve recognition in your own right. As I remember that weekend in Palm Springs you held your own in our rather questionable group.

Steve's first picture must be photo-shopped - the coffee mug is missing!
