Kilt Nights in Fredericksburg VA - First Fridays – Finally Fridays
Last summer in Fredericksburg VA we started some Kilt Nights in conjunction with First Fridays in the Historic section of the city. It included beer, food and beer. All good combinations with the wearing of the kilt.
In catching up in the reading of the local paper I see that First Friday as mentioned above in July will move to the last Friday and be called Finally Friday to get away from a conflict with the art galleries exhibitions. Ah well, good taste and beer can go together you know.
So you kilties in central VA please note the change for First/Finally Fridays- 5/2, 6/5, 7/25, 8/29, 9/26, & 10/31

which river?
Ok I'm feeling silly... but I live south and west of the Potomac...North and West of you... so I'm wondering if you're talking Rappahanok(sp?) I'm a little lost. I'm only about 45 minutes from Quantico and I have friends who live in Aquia who I like to visit.

Right, Meg I am referring to the Rappahannock. You do know that there are three Virginias. There is of course Virginia, then there is West Virginia, and then there is NORTHERN Virginia. Just kidding of course. The Fredericksburg area for most is consider Northern Virginia, but for some of us diehards we are not ready to be swallowed up by the North and take the Rappahannock River as being the declamation line. We have given up on Stafford County.

Well heck, if you ask Northern implants, they think the deep south starts at Manassas. ;) I love Fredricksburg. It used to be a small fun little town, of course the sprawl has changed much of that, but the town itself has not lost it's charm!

I would love to be there, but a 2-3 hour drive, to drink beer?? I don't think that is a wise decision. How about Hampton Roads?
