New York Tartan Week 2010

Hello all, Is there anyone from the UK going to the Tartan week in New York City in 2010?
If there is anyone from the UK attending could you let me know I have a couple of questions to ask, Anyone attending send me a pvt message

I am not planning to attend but some of the young lassies from my home town should be there.
Hawick High School's Creative Fashion Group, are currently fundraising to take their tartan wear to New York Tartan Week in 2010.

As far as I know the girls are intending to display their creations in New York so presumably they will parade at the Dressed to Kilt event or at least have a showcase there. They have a high profile series of fundraising events taking place here. I think Scocha are also going from here to New York to perform some gigs during Tartan Week.

Could be that Scocha will be coming, but they were here this past Tartan Week. I heard them play at the British Memorial Garden, introduced by the Speaker of the Scottish Parliament, Mr. Ferguson(?).

I live in New York - actually right at 57th and 6th in midtown; the parade passes right under my windows every year. I am a Canadian transplant of Scottish ancestry and have lived in Manhattan for nearly 10 years now.
