2012 NYC Tartan Day pre-Parade brunch
I'd like to see if there's any interest in gathering again this year for a simple brunch prior to the parade, as we have for the past several years. Folks seem to have found it a good opportunity to relax among fellow kilties.
Location
The Playwright Tavern
202 West 49th Street (between 7th Avenue & Broadway)
New York, New York
Tel: 212-262-9229
Time:11:30 A.M. (EDT)
They've always been welcoming, and it's only a block from the parade route. Here's their website, showing their menu, both solid and liquid. http://playwrighttavern.com/index.html#4
If interested, please post the forum user name and expected number in the party (if any). Please post by April 11th

I along with my wife and son would be up for it. It would be nice to have something to eat and a few pints before we march.

I'm not sure if I can make it, but it would be so nice to join you, if I can. I'll be in the parade and at Stout's later.

I am going to a pre-parade event with a Celtic Music group I am a member of. I am sure I will see you all at the Parade or at Stout.

I just purchased my airline ticket from Palm Springs to New York minutes ago! I hope to see you all at Playright's before the parade. Looking forward to it!

I am thinking that my wife and I can be there. It is possible there will be more, but will post for sure by the deadline (just wanted to provide encouragement).

To recap, thus far I am counting 4-6 adults:
Keith A. & wife
Skyelander
Galician
(possibly Mr. & Mrs MacBean)
Did I miss anyone? With such a small group, reservations might not be necessary, but can't hurt.

Well, the final official count is 4 adults and 1 kiltie-in-training.
I won't make reservations, but should anyone want to join us, just tell the hostess that you're looking for the X Marks group. They know us.
