Kilt Con 2018
If memory serves me well, Mac McGee's pub hosted Kilt Con, which happens nationally on Tartan Day, in the Atlanta area in 2017. Has anyone heard news of 2018?

I believe you are correct about where it was last year, Creag. I can't find any information about any locations on the kiltcon website, or the Mac McGee website, nor on the Life in a Kilt Podcast website (who were broadcasting there at last year's event).

I haven't seen or heard anything relevant either. However, since what we're talking about here is a chance to get together,
this Saturday is the St. Patrick's parade. Should we try for something later in the afternoon? I don't know if there is an
appropriate spot near the site, but if y'all are going, it would give traffic time to settle out. Or if not, along the perimeter.
Or another day. I've been feeling bad about how last month turned out, and thought I'd ask. It might just be us three, or
maybe others would be downtown for the parade. Or not.

My wife and I are participating in the Atlanta parade. I believe we are having lunch with our fellow participants, but are free after that. I started a post about it here.

The website for KiltCon still does not show a single event in the US for this year. The life in a kilt section has been under construction for some time. I have a feeling that we will have to make our own festivities this year!
So who all is interested this time?

I will be out of state on vacation so i will miss this year.
I have also looked and there doesnt seem to be anything online. Facebook has no info- i think Rick is on hiatus. I believe he was the one that organized last years event. And the kiltcon website had issues (i read but cant remember the details).
Hope everyone has fun and can get a good group together.

I contacted the Kilt Con organizers, and apparently they don't have one in Atlanta this year. I guess you are correct about Rick being on hiatus!
So, as there's no official one, who all is interested in a kilt night for Tartan Day? @Creag will you be free? @Ntaker @Catharps ?
It's a Friday, so our migratory members will not be here.

Guess not. I am out of state on vacation so i will miss any get-togethers. I hate that there isnt a kiltcon 2018 after the crowd we had last year.
If yall throw something together- post some pics for those of us who cant be there.
Maybe 2019 will be back on the books.

We are kilting up kilt-con or not.
I am away on holiday at the moment but will be back in town Thursday to kilt up and go out with friends to celebrate my pal Darby's birthday with a bunch of other kilted fellas.
I am thinking we will be at MacMcGee's around 7pm-ish and then go from there...Brick Store Pub and a few others.
