There are a few things that you need to know and understand to be able to insert or upload photos to your posts.
Not all systems or platforms are capable of uploading photos to our software. I know of at least one tablet and one smartphone that are not capable of uploading photos.
The photo which you wish to upload must be located either on the platform (computer, tablet, smartphone) that you are using - or - already uploaded to somewhere else on the web.
The next is perhaps the most difficult for some people. Depending on the method you choose to up load a photo, you may be granting X Marks permission to access your computer. This is what uploading means You are linking and sharing data between two computers. During the upload process the two computers are directly talking to each other.
This means that you must give X Marks permission to access your computer though any firewalls or anti-spam software that may be on your machine.
The use of a VPN or Virtual Private Network will make it very hard, if not impossible, for you to upload photos. Today some people use a VPN as a way of hiding the actual location of their computer. VPN's are a favorite tool of Spammers and hackers to attempt to access services anonymously.

When you open the window to write a post you should see a couple of menu bars above the text window.

Begin typing the text of your post and then locate where within the text you wish your photo to be displayed. It is usually best not to put the photo on the same line as the text.
