    Got hit on !

Recently I was wearing a light wool kilt and a Jacobite shirt. I was eating alone and had an attractive lady sit down and introduce herself. I’m a married man and wife was at work. She proceeded to tell me she thought kilts were hot. It was a very positive interaction and far outweighed any negative comments I’ve ever heard.
    Just thought I’d share.

It happens, from time to time.

    Don't tell the wife..!

Being 'hit on' like this is all part of the kilt-wearing thrill - so let's be honest, boys, and admit it's half the fun of doing it.

You can usually tell quite quickly which way the conversation is headed, but as soon as The Question is asked, you either seek the safety of your wife's company, or allow the lady take you somewhere quite to find out.

But what are the 'negative comments' you mention - who makes them and why? That's not an experience I have ever had, other than to be asked if it is a 'real kilt'.

I mean, I don't think I have ever seen an artificial kilt...

Being hit on comes with the kilt territory.
