Hello to all X Markers for Houston Kiltmakers
Hi there,
I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone at X Marks the Scot. I am Stuart and work for Houston Kiltmakers in Scotland (Not Texas! ).
I am looking forward to joining the discussions and hopefully will be able to contribute some of my insight into Kilts, and share the extensive knowledge of the people I work with to the forum.
A little bit about Houston Kiltmakers:
We are a 4th Generation family run business and have been working out of Paisley, Scotland since 1909 (Not me personally!)
Our owner Ken MacDonald is the Vice Chairman of the Scottish Tartan Authority (STA), so I can always pick his brains regarding anything tartan or kilt related!
I look forward to getting to know everyone here better, it seems like a friendly and active community you have here!
If anyone has had any experience with us before, either purchasing a Kilt or other item off us, I would love to hear your experience, we are always looking for ways to make our service better!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I'll see you around the forum!

Hi Stuart and welcome to Xmarks!
I have visited your shop on a couple of occasions not to mention sending many friends and acquaintances there. Ken was there both times and fitted me out for my heavyweight Hunting Macgregor kilt pleated to the stripe which I love and serves me very well indeed. It was great service, ready earlier than expected and is doing very well considering the rigours I put it through.
Hoping to see a discount for Xmarkers!
Fitz

Welcome. Glad you clarified your location, as I'm in Houston from time to time and would have loved to check out your store. Since you across the pond, I guess I'll have to wait a while.

I thought I would get the location in early, our name can be a little misleading! If you can't get the chance to come over and visit the guys from Google were in last month taking panoramic shots around the store, so you can go on a little street view tour.
