Sporran Woes - not a 'Kilt Night' per se
Not that long ago I sold my chrome-cantled hunting sporran from L&M with the idea that I would put the money toward a better all-around sporran and thinking that I wouldn't need a dress sporran for a while. Well, as luck would have it, my wife and I have been invited to a Derby-eve gala and here I am with only a brown day sporran with tassles and a plain black day sporran (and I won't be able to acquire a new sporran by Derby). I have little doubt that I will be the only kilted man at the event, so I might be able to get away with the plain black sporran, but.... Any of you gents in the local area want to lend me a sporran for the night?
I'd be happy to pick it up and deliver it, so there wouldn't even be shipping costs involved.

Kenneth
I have several which may fit the bill for your event. PM me with your email address and I will send you some photos this weekend when I get home from San Francisco. Living in Goshen I should not be too far from you either.

Kenneth, you're welcome to my full-mask badger if you like.
I think I could also safely lend you the LPB sporran I have (black hunting, chrome cantle, etc.).
If you still have a copy of one of the LPB rosters, my address etc. shuld be on there. Otherwise, PM/email me.

That's very generous, John. Being one half of a couple, I'm not sure I can make that decision on my own. I'll have to run that one by the wife.

Not too far away and you're welcome to borrow mine if you like. My dress sporran is in pictures I've posted from my wedding.

Thanks, Cruiser. Let me see what turns up a little closer in, but I may be in touch.

No prob. I wouldn't offer to just anyone. I know you and I know you'll take care of it. (I also understand not everyone's fond of full mask/fur sporrans.)
The band sporran's also an option. Just lemme know.

Thanks for all the offers and especially to Jeff for the sporran he lent. My wife and I had a great time at the Governor's Derby Eve Celebration. Here we are at the starting gate in front of the Governor's Mansion:
