    Lightbulb Traditional Highland Dress

When I first joined XMTS I was irritated by the staunch traditionalist who would tell me that the things I liked were wrong because they were not traditional. I looked at the traditional section entitled

    Traditional Highland Dress
The place for discussion of Traditional and Classic Highland Apparel and Style. (Basically from the Reign of Edward VII to the 1980's)

I thought to myself who cares what they think. I'm wearing my kilt TODAY. Not in 1901 to 1980's.

I have come to understand that traditional and modern are two terms describing two different styles of kilt style. Both being relevant and worn today.

I was therefor mislead by the title of that subforum and very confused by it. Recently a thread in that subforum has made it known that there are others that feel the way I do about the phrase in parentheses.
There are yet others who fear if the phrase is removed or if the date 1980's was removed it will mislead in the other direction.
Therefor I propose a slight clarification of the subforums title.

    Traditional Highland Dress
The place for discussion of Traditional and Classic Highland Apparel and Style. (Originating from the Reign of Edward VII to the 1980's)

Are you only making a one-word change? If so, I don't think it's worth the effort.

I'd suggest simply removing the date range:

    Traditional Highland Dress:
The place for discussion of Traditional and Classic Highland Apparel and Style.

I've come to view that more as the way of a bully, than any particular approach to attire: traditionalist or modern.
    Just a thought...

I could get behind that one too.

    It has my vote also.
I was trying to come up with something both sides would be able to tolerate.
