WTB Dundas Tartan Single Width Fabric
This is a very long shot, but I would like to make one 8-yard kilt with Dundas Tartan. All the sources for heavyweight fabric that I can find are 140cm/54" wide, so I'd either have a whole kilt-worth of extra fabric (not ideal given the prices I've found), or I'd have to have a seam, which I really don't prefer. If anyone knows of a source for single-width fabric, or if anyone has either of the Dundas Tartan (modern or ancient) that they would like to sell, please let me know.

Have you contacted any of the vendors? When I purchase an asymmetrical tartan, I can usually get it in single width. They cut it in half and send me 8 yards of single width. It's worth asking.

Have asked around to see if any other Dundas might be interested in a kilt length? You could then order 8 yds (7.4m) double-width, cut it in half lengthways and sell the other kilt length.

I haven't, but I will. Certainly worth a couple of phone calls or emails.
