Ordered my first real kilt!
To celebrate landing my first real job out of school after six months of poverty, and to celebrate being given the blessing to wear my step-family's tartan, I just a placed an order for a Farquharson casual kilt and accessories. Before this I've only had a black 5.11 kilt, this will be my first true tartan kilt. Went with cream and black hose, the red economy flashes because I'm still unsure on how to incorporate them, a Masonic kilt pin, and a leather strap for the nylon sporran I'll be using. Six weeks of anticipation begins now!

You are going to love your new kilt!!!
Rocky and his crew do first rate work! My casual fits like a dream, and though not sewn by Rocky himself, the attention to detail and care in the craftsmanship are obvious, Rocky has a great thing going over there!

Three weeks down, three to seven weeks to go. I keep going back to the site to look at the pleats, on the fence if I should have sprung for a semi-traditional. I've never owned kilt with pleats period, hoping it looks alright for formal occasions.

Highwayman,
Congratulations on your job. I hope it will be something that you will enjoy and grow with for a long time. Congratulations on your kilt. I know it will be something you will treasure for years to come. I am sure your step-family are equally honored to have you wearing their tartan. As for as the USAkilts quality, nothing to worry about. Rocky and his crew will make you look good at whatever function you choose to wear your new kilt.
Congratulations again on everything. And best wishes for you and your family for the holidays and he new year.

The bad news, I may now need a new car, it's been a long night getting towed and hanging around a shop. The good news...my kilt shipped!
