    Jacket and waistcoat

Looking to get a jacket and waistcoat to wear with my kilts on occasions which call for "dressier" attire without going full-on formal. I've seen many pictures online of HM King Charles in Highland attire without the epaulets and gauntlets (of which I am NOT a fan). Can anyone direct me to a source in the US for something of this nature? (Preferably one that won't break the bank, but am not unwilling to pay for quality.) TIA

That's exactly what I'm *not* looking for, unfortunately. I don't like the epaulettes and gauntlet cuffs. Looking for something more like a conventional suit jacket, but cut to the proper length to wear with a kilt.

This is called a "Wallace" jacket and is available from any shop that carries the Gaelic Themes brand.

I like the look of the "Edwardian Jacket" made by Daiglen of Scotland. I'm also on the hunt for a more contemporary look. McCall's has a "contemporary" classification that includes the Edwardian Jacket. https://www.mccalls.co.uk/products/j...s/contemporary

edit: Sorry, I missed that you mentioned that you were looking for a US distributor.

You must’ve missed the part where you can select the options that you prefer, including epaulets and cuffs…

I had a jacket made with no epaulets and a single button on the cuff.

    Read The options.

    Cheers,

I must have indeed! Thanks for pointing that out.

I have a mind like a steel trap -- nothing gets in.

Maybe check out St Kilda - they ship to the US, The have the Wallace Jacket and similar style called the Rothesay - but if you look at their made to order Day Kilt Jacket and Vests or their Kirkton Tweed Jackets and Vests you have plenty of choices on style, epaulettes, jacket buttons, cuff buttons, pocket styles, waistcoat with or without lapels, straight or pointed bottoms etc - plus lots of choice of different tweeds
