The Dayton Celtic Festival in Ohio

So here are my pictures from this last weekend in Dayton.

Here I am with my fiancee in my (currently) favorite kilt, a Muted Galloway Hunting, and she in a Black Watch.

This my Best Man and her new boyfriend. I made the pvc leather kilt she is wearing, and I loaned him that black acrylikilt he's got on. His name is Wilson, so I'm working on getting him into kilts more often. He said he was really comfortable in it.

The first act we went to, the Miami Valley Pipes & Drums. I enjoyed them a lot.

Downtown Dayton has the public arts statues, so I decided to have a little fun with them.

This is the floral arrangement from Sunday Mass. Since sunflowers are some of my fiancee's favorites, she had me post this picture.

We also went to see Gaelic Storm on Saturday night.

Pete Purvis comes out on the bagpipes, so I had to get some pictures of him. He is pictured here with guitartist Steve Twigger.

Here he is with Jessie Burns. Her right arm is so buff, it amazing. They all have great energy.

Pete on the Uilleann Pipes with lead vocal Patrick Murphy in the background. I didn't know Sting played the accordion

Now when I saw this, I said it was d***dest thing I ever saw. It's an electronic bagpipes. It sounded kinda midi-ish, but worked fro the song they were playing.

    Here is a closeup.

    Cheers, all.

Cool pics. I really like that tartan you're wearing. Plus it's nice to see I'm not the only person who had/will have a woman for a best man.

So is this how you find out what she's wearing under her skirt?

Looks like you had a great time. Wish I could have made it but I was in Chicago that weekend.

man, it looks like I missed another good one, somehow I've been unable to go to a lot of good events, shucks.

are you sure you were in the first picture? I only saw your fiancee. Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials!

Sounds like fun. Gaelic Storm was just here in Madison about a week ago. They're great guys!

My sister was my first attendant and I'll be hers in 2011. I like to think of myself as the dude of honor.
