    Tartan Taxonomy - Help ID'ing A Tartan

I posted this up in the noob section on my thread, but thought I'd catch a wider audience here.

The tartan on my new kilt is called "Heather of Scotland" from mytartan.com.

I did a ferret search (among others) and came up with nothing. The closest I could find was "Flower of Scotland" - a modified Gunn tartan. This is similar to that, but the red is replaced with a heather purple and positioned differently.
Here's a not spectacular image of the pattern.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks slohairt!

No wonder I couldn't find it, I was searching for universal tartans and a similar name...

I wonder why it was sold under a different name?

Ah... just as well I'm still losing weight.

It's a lovely tartan. But I wonder how many people would buy it if it were associated solely with a clan name?

Making it a "universal" tartan and renaming it something that invokes an image of a Scottish pasture would make it more salable

The tartan is a more modern rendition of Baird with the triple purple, as red was the earlier and original colour dating from around 1906.
