Minnesota Scottish American Center Grand Opening Today
Our doors are open to you either at our regular hours, or by appointment. Come and see us on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:00 in the evening, or on Saturday's 1:00 to 4:00. Or just give us a call at (612)
721-8885. Please leave a message if not during our regular hours, and we will get back to you promptly. If you know ahead of time, and plan to stop, please call and let us know that you will be coming. We will be holding our Grand Opening on September 12th from Noon to 4:00, and will send you a notice via e-mail when we have more specifics.
The Scottish American Center believes in celebrating our Scottish roots and will help you discover yours. We have people that do family research that can help in your journey, as well as two computers that are available to surf the web. We know of many free websites where you might find clues to your heritage that could get you on your way down that magical road of family history. Along this same vein, membership in the Scottish American Center allows to free access to the Minnesota Genealogical Society, to their library, their computers, and the fee-based genealogy websites that can be so helpful. At the MGS you find professional genealogists who know all the answers and can then provide them to you. It is also true that we have a library. We have over 700 books that you can read and learn about Scotland. Whether you are taking a trip, doing a report, or just enjoying some Scottish fictional stories. Come and visit us.
The Scottish American Center can open doors and help you find others that also celebrate your Scottish heritage. Membership in the Scottish American Center is just $25.00 to help support a valuable facility within the Metro area that focuses on Scottish heritage. Please contact us at (612) 721-8885, or by mail at Scottish American Center, 3030 West River Parkway South, Minneapolis, MN 55406-2396.
