The pleat-spacing is a bit...... esoteric, but I made a kilt to wear when our singing group Vox Canvas performs (until we come up with a more creative outfit/ colour pallet )

That's a perfect solution to the "concert black" that's so often required of performing musicians.

Guys and gals all in black, the style isn't that important.

I've always worn black shirt, slacks, and tie even when playing pipes as part of an orchestra or stage band.

Then again, playing uilleann pipes in a kilt is no bueno.
