    New to Forum

Hello! I was directed in the welcome message to create a post here. I found the website during a genealogy quest to try and confirm the authenticity of family stories handed down to me, following the gifting of a tartan my grandmother bought in Scotland to me by my mother. I'm not a kilt-wearer myself, but I am interested in learning more about the practice and history associated with it. Additionally, I have loved ones who have considered kilt-wear before and I'd love to know more to try and help out if they ever do decide to do so, and having a resource of community and real people at hand sounds like a lovely opportunity to keep in one's back pocket. I am a resident of the United States interested in traditional arts and crafts, traditional dance, and genealogy.

    Welcome

Welcome to X Marks! In your quest for information you might try the live experience by attending a Scottish Festival / Highland Games in your area. There are several every year in Florida.
    Again, welcome!
    Cheers,
