Jackson, TN Celtic Festival
Hello all!
On November 6-7 there will be a Celtic Festival sponsored by the Celtic Society of West Tennessee. It's a great event! All those planning to attend, raise yer hand and say 'Aye!'

Aye,
I plan to be there and know a couple of others who may as well.
We need to plan a meet and greet for everyone.

I was planning on going and setting up a clan tent, but they went and made this a two day event, which puts extra cost on me for room and board. Last year it was a drive up and back. I might have done it if I had not committed to go to Stone Mountain. Personally I think any new festival that is adding an extra day to their event in this economy is asking for trouble. But many of the good vendors will not attend if the event is only one day. Sounds like a catch 22. I hate to miss it, but it is what it is. I'd be curious to know what their Sunday attendance is like.

Heath, Are you going to drive up Saturday just to see the Festival?

Yes, we should meet! I am sadly not kilted YET... Which day is you guys' preference? I'm leaning towards Saturday but it would be nice to have something else to do Sunday after church other than eating too much and 'recovering' for a couple of hours on the couch! haha Let me know!

Sometime Saturday at Clan Skene's tent will work for me. Dirk will be working his clan convener mojo all day so that will probably be the best way to get him involved. I would say around lunch time.

I HOPE to have the tent set up. There has been a complication. I will be there. I am still working on the logistics for the set-up.

Give me a call or email and let me know if you need help with anything. If you don't have the tent I guess we'll just have to enjoy an extra wee dram or two to compensate.
